Terms of Service.
Last updated: March 2026
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using the Suede Registry protocol, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the protocol. Suede Registry is a decentralized application operating on the Avalanche blockchain.
2. The Protocol
Suede Registry provides tools for registering intellectual property on-chain, creating programmable licenses, managing royalty distributions, and tracking derivative works. The protocol interacts with smart contracts deployed on Avalanche.
3. Wallet & Transactions
You are solely responsible for the security of your wallet and private keys. All blockchain transactions are irreversible. Suede cannot recover lost funds, reverse transactions, or restore access to compromised wallets. Gas fees are your responsibility.
4. Intellectual Property
You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all content you register through the protocol. By registering IP, you do not transfer ownership to Suede. You retain all rights to your registered works.
You agree not to register content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others. Suede reserves the right to remove off-chain metadata for works flagged as infringing, though on-chain records remain immutable.
5. Licensing
Licenses created through the protocol are governed by smart contract logic. The terms encoded in the contract are the authoritative version. Suede provides tools to create and manage these licenses but does not adjudicate disputes between parties.
6. Limitation of Liability
The protocol is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Suede is not liable for any losses arising from smart contract bugs, blockchain network issues, or third-party integrations. Use the protocol at your own risk.
7. Modifications
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the protocol after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated through our official channels.
